Juan Agustín Agualongo Cisneros (San Juan de Pasto, August 25, 1780-Popayan, July 13, 1824) was a Spanish military's Royal Army and Colombian mestizo chieftain, during the war of independence of New Granada (now Colombia) . Was "idol of a fierce and exalted people, a symbol of hope for disappointed people". For thirteen years he railway armed opposition to the Republican armies in the territories of southern Colombia, his forces fought with the Liberator Simón Bolívar (1783-1830), in the bloody Battle of Ibarra in 1823.
