"How art thou fallen from heaven O day-star, son of the morning! (Helel ben Shahar) How art thou cast down to the ground, That didst cast lots over the nations! And thou saidst in thy heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, Above the stars of God (El) Will I exalt my throne; And I will sit upon the mount of meeting, In the uttermost parts of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High (Elyon).' Yet thou shalt be brought dow to the nether-world, To the uttermost parts of the pit."
- Isaiah 14:12-15

Lucifer is a Latin word, literally meaning "light-bearer", that was used as a name for the "day star" or "Morning Star" that precedes the rising of the sun. Venus, the morning star.
A odd fact: Venus is all covered by a solid layer of molten rock, maybe expelled by several volcano eruptions in a old time, on the whole planet surface, as a sea of lava. Like an old real Hell.
Everyone seems to think that Lucifer is some hideous beast when he was actually the most beautiful angel in heaven. I like that you created him kind of dark, he is still very beautiful
The Supreme Loser. He seems furious because God expelled him from Heaven. I was expecting a light-themed,composed Lucifer. But the dark and furious one you made still is very good.
I made the same connection between Venus and Hell back in my freshmen year of High School, during our astronomy class. Though I never knew that Lucifer was the morning star Venus.
Lucifer was once a pagan diety known as Lucifera, a female nature being that represented nature's duality, then adopted into the Judeo/Christian myths to serve as the antithesis to Jehova. Milton wrote Lucifer in one of the best ways, establishing that he wasn't evil to begin with, but was driven by his thirst for power and hatred later on to become what the western world sees as the imbodiment of evil itself, though granted he really isn't when you realize the worse thing he did was ask Jehova the question "Why?". It was the other demons and fallen beings that committed worse and were later merged together (For example, many believe Beelezebub is the same name as Satan or Lucifer, which is incorrect as Beelezebub is a bastardization of Beelezeb, a pestilence diety depicted as a large fly or maggot and called the lord of flies.)
