ah! plz vote for my girl on this contest  (click on votar)[link] -------- María Arias is a good example of the role of the woman in mexican revolution. She was aganist Victorino Huerta and make the feminist club "Lealtad" in way to manifestate aganist huerta and his abuse. Cause of that, she was a lot of times in jail, but she never left her part on the revolution. Albaro Obregon recognize her courage and as a symbol, he give his own gun to her, cause of that she was well knowed as "Maria Pistolas" en español: es un ejemplo de la lucha que desde todos los ámbitos desarrollaron las mujeres durante la Revolución Mexicana para liberar al país del yugo de Victoriano Huerta tras del derrocamiento de Porfirio Díaz y el asesinato de Francisco I. Madero. María Arias formó el Club Femenil Lealtad para manifestarse en contra de los abusos de Huerta. María Arias fue encarcelada por ello en más de una ocasión pero siguió trabajando por la causa revolucionaria. Su labor fue reconocida por Álvaro Obregón, quien a su llegada a la Ciudad de México le entregó su pistola como homenaje a su valor, lo que le ganó el apelativo de “María Pistolas”. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
