Moses (Egyptian, Latin: Moyses, Hebrew: מֹשֶׁה, Standard Moshe Tiberian Mōšeh; Greek: Mωϋσῆς in both the Septuagint and the New Testament; Arabic: موسىٰ, Mūsa; Ge'ez: ሙሴ, Musse) is a Biblical Hebrew religious leader, lawgiver, and prophet, to whom the authorship of the Torah is traditionally attributed. Also called Moshe Rabbeinu in Hebrew (Hebrew: מֹשֶׁה רַבֵּנוּ, Lit. "Moses our Teacher"), he is the most important prophet in Judaism, and also an important prophet of Christianity, Islam, the Bahá'í Faith, Rastafari, Chrislam and many other faiths. According to the book of Exodus, Moses was born in a time when war threatened and the large increase in the number of his people concerned the Pharaoh who was worried that they might help Egypt's enemies. His Hebrew mother, Jochebed, hid him when the Pharaoh ordered all newborn Hebrew boys to be killed, and he ended up being adopted into the Egyptian royal family. After killing an Egyptian slave-master, Moses fled across the Red Sea to Midian where he tended the flocks of Jethro, a priest of Midian on the slopes of Mt. Horeb. After the Ten Plagues were unleashed on Egypt, Moses led the Hebrew slaves out of Egypt, across the Red Sea, where they based themselves at Horeb and compassed the borders of Edom. It was at this time, that according to the Bible, Moses received the Ten Commandments. Despite living to 120, Moses died before reaching the Land of Israel.

A old draw again, I done this one arround july of the last year. the design is very referenced to Cecil B. DeMille´s movie, "The Ten Commandments".
PSCS/ cant remember the time, but was arround 6 or 7 hours/ Bamboo/music: STARING AT THE SUN- U2

this really looks awesome! I have really thought of doing a bible comic off and on, and have always said if the characters could be depicted in a cool looking style instead of what we are all used to, more people may be willing to check it out. I'm not really a "bible thumper" or regular church goer, but I have always thought that the characters from the bible could use a face-lift so to speak in terms of their styleing to modernize it, and this is spot on to what I've always thought of. very nice! I really like your other work I have seen from you too...the Dracula pic was awesome.

I don't think Moyses was his Egyptian name among the Aristocracy. Manepho called him something else, I just don't remember. But yeah, that would be the name his adoptive mother would have called him. :)

Moses was one of the last prophets of God. Before his birth, the cult of predictors of Ramses II predicted that a boy would rise against the cruelty and tyranny of Ramses II and overthrow him and the boy would be a descendant of Israel (Jacob) the prophet. So the pharaoh ordered all newborn boys to be killed at birth. In fear of losing her child the Prophet Moses' mother hid him in a box and let the box float away in the river Nile. The box was found by the maids of Asiya, the wife of Ramses. She raised him and he grew up. In his adulthood God gave him the revelation that he was his Prophet (messenger) and he must guide his people to salvation and freedom who were enslaved by the tyrant, Ramses. After learning this Ramses II ordered the capture of Moses and his people. Eventually Ramses followed Moses and his people when they were escaping from Egypt, during the chase they came to a sea which could not be crossed, at that time God told Moses to strike his staff against the water and a path will appear and so he did and he and his people crossed the water. When Ramses and his army were crossing the water came back to its original place drowning them all. Ramses was damned and his corpse remained there for centuries.
